BUSINESS MODEL

MSI Benefits Group is an employee benefit consulting and brokerage firm located in Kennesaw, Georgia serving regional employer groups with substantial employee populations.

Since 1983, based on extensive industry knowledge and technical/regulatory expertise, we have provided strategic advice and services to private and public sector employers in order to enable each group to deploy a robust employee benefits program which supports the constant need to recruit, retain and motivate top quality employees while adhering to financial constraints and objectives.

Our comprehensive, three pillared, business model is based on the recognition that we are in a ‘relationship/service business’ and not in a ‘transaction business’. We place equal emphasis on consulting, implementation and on-going service/support in both the core and voluntary benefits realm which offers inherent administrative efficiencies to our clients allowing them to take advantage of MSI as a single point of contact for all employee benefits such as:

The clearest insight into our business model and into our values is that we do not think in terms of finite consulting or brokerage engagements which have a beginning, a middle and an end – we don’t just give advice then step away for another plan cycle – we stay, do the work and assume responsibility for our performance.

COMPENSATION

Compensation for benefit consultants and brokers has evolved over the decades from overwhelmingly commission based to one of combined fees and commissions.

Ultimately, the client must perceive the value added by a consultant/broker and have complete confidence in the transparency of the compensation methodology.

For core benefits consulting and brokerage, MSI is compensated by declared and transparent commissions paid by insurance carriers or a fee calculated as Per Employee Per Month (PEPM) paid by the client.

For supplemental/voluntary benefits consulting and brokerage, MSI is compensated solely by declared and transparent commissions paid by the insurance carriers.
